Conception

Conception

Conception is the point at which the woman's egg, or ovum, is penetrated by the man's sperm. From this point, an embryo begins to grow and, if all goes well, nine months later a healthy baby will be born to a healthy mother.

About Conception

Conception is defined as the union between the male sperm and the female ovum, which is fertilization, forming an embryo. It takes about one week for implantation to occur. Some symptoms of conception are breast tenderness, light spotting, frequent urination, raised temp, missing a period, fatigue and nausea, to name a few. Some women do not feel these symptoms and others can feel them within the first week of conception. Physical signs of pregnancy or showing start around your second trimester, which are weeks 13-28. This is when your tummy may become hard and noticeably pregnant.
