About Concert

A concert is a musical performance given by a singer, band or other instrumental group. There are thousands upon thousands of concerts given each year within the United States. Some are small and attended to by a small group while others are very large with thousands of attendees.

Typically, a person will buy a ticket to attend a concert. Ticket costs vary in price depending on the act seen. The more popular the act, the more they charge to attend. Madonna and Elton John have both charged over $300 for a single ticket to their concerts but the most expensive ticket sold is held by the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin. A pair of tickets was auctioned off to their 2007 reunion tour and was sold for $164,929.

There are many places to buy concert tickets. One of the most popular is Ticketmaster. Tickets from Ticketmaster are accessible online, by phone or in some retail outlets. Stub Hub is another great place to find a ticket to your favorite concert, especially when the event you want to attend is sold out. Stub Hub is a ticket marketplace where people can buy and sell tickets to others. Other places to find concert tickets are eBay and Live Nation. You can also check with the venue holding the event.

Some concerts will be held indoors and other in an outside venue. Most have assigned seating, but sometimes a show will allow it’s ticketholders to choose their seating on a first come, first serve basis. It is always a good idea to arrive 30 minutes early for smaller concerts and 45 to 60 minutes early for larger ones. No one wants to be standing in line waiting to get to a seat when the first notes begin to play!
