Condoms are a form of birth control and a barrier to protect against STD's. They are usually worn by males, however they do make condoms for women. Male condoms are not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy. About 18 out of 100 couples that use this form of birth control get pregnant each year.
A condom is a barrier device commonly used during sexual intercourse to reduce the probability of pregnancy and spreading sexually transmitted diseases. It is put on a man's erect penis and physically blocks ejaculated semen from entering the body of a sexual partner.
