Craigslist.com is a website that allows participants to list free classified ads for jobs, goods, services and so forth.

The mastermind behind the famous website is Craig Newmark, who founded the site back in 1995, originally as an e-mail service. It wasn't until 1996 that the site went live and became a registered as a private for-profit business that earned its money from advertisers. Gradually, as the years went on, so did the sites out reach to other parts of the nation. Initially, the site was targeted towards San Francisco, but grew to other major cities.

Users enjoy Craigslist's easy to navigate site that allows them to sell their old goods or look for a baby sitter. The uses for the site are endless and some people have even made a job out of it called CraigListers.
