Cypress Hill is a hip hop group from South Gate, CA, originally named DVX. They are well-known in West Coast rap circles and have received critical acclaim for their first two albums. Cypress Hill's members are B-Real, DJ Muggs, Eric Bobo, and Sen Dog.

About Cypress Hill

The band began in 1989 and soon signed a deal with Columbia Records. Their first album, 'Self-Titled,' was released in 1991. The album sold two million copies in the U.S. alone.'

They released their second album, 'Black Sunday,' in 1993 and it debuted at the top of the Billboard charts. Insane in the Brain became a crossover hit and the album sold 3.25 million copies and went triple platinum.

Cypress Hill was banned from SNL in 1993 after Muggs smoked a joint on television and the band trashed its equipment.

On April 20th, 2010 the group released its 8th studio album, 'Rise Up.'
