Dallas Love Field is a city-owned public-use airport located 6 miles northwest of the central business district of Dallas, Texas, United States. Love Field was Dallas' primary scheduled airline service facility until 1974 when Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) opened. As of March 2012, Love Field is served by Southwest Airlines, United Express, Delta Connection, and SeaPort Airlines. Southwest Airlines maintains its corporate headquarters at Love Field, and Dallas is a major focus city for the airline. Also, seven full service fixed base operators (FBOs) at Love Field provide general aviation services including fuel, maintenance, hangar rentals, and charters.
