About Dragon Con

Dragon Con or Dragon*Con is an annual convention held over the Labor Day weekend in Atlanta Georgia every year since 1987. Dragoncon features events, panel discussions, seminars and workshops of interest to fans of role-playing games, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, comic books, and other related genres.

The first Dragon*Con featured famous fantasy authors like Michael Moorcock (from the Elric series), Gary Gygax (co creator of Dungeons & Dragons), music from members of Blue Oyster Cult (performing with Michael Moorcock some of the songs his books inspired), and a live performance of H.P. Lovecraft?s ?The Call of Cthulhu?. The convention continues to bring together a wide variety of interesting events and speakers to this day.

From lessons on robotics and modern skepticism to meet and greets with celebrities from popular TV shows and movies, Dragon*Con is one of the best events of its kind and continues to grow year after year.
