East Carolina University is a public, doctoral/research university located in Greenville, North Carolina, United States. Named East Carolina University by statute and commonly known as ECU or East Carolina, its more than 27,800 students make it the third-largest university and fastest-growing campus in the University of North Carolina system for six consecutive years. While East Carolina is renowned for its programs in education, nursing, business, music, theater, and medicine, it offers over 100 Bachelor degree programs, 85 master's degrees, 21 doctoral programs and 62 certificates.
