On those days when you need to buy a sandwich, go to a place that will make one to order. Make sure to ask for turkey or roast beef, extra tomatoes and onions, and only a smidge of mayonnaise. Better, yet, omit the mayo and go for mustard. It is fat free!

Prepare lunch items the night before right after dinner. This will keep you better organized. This will also save on clean up time. Be sure to store your food properly in the morning when you are packing you lunch box for work or for school.

If you like to have a dessert with your lunch, make your dessert a nutritious part of your lunch. Use fresh fruits (melon, grapes, apple slices) instead of candy bars or high fat cookies. It will help to give you energy and it will be better for you.
