About Edward Cullen

Edward Cullen is the son of Edward and Elizabeth Masen. After the death of his parents, Edward is adopted by Carlisle and Esme Cullen.

Edward’s story begins back in 1918 when he and his family are infected with the Spanish influenza. Edward and his mother are both near death having already lost his father. Elizabeth pleads with Carlisle to save her son Edward the way only he can, by turning him into a vampire. His mother then passes away. Upon becoming a vampire, Edward now has the gift of mind reading.

Edward now lives with Carlisle and his wife and his siblings. He has two brothers, Jasper and Emmett and two sisters, Alice and Rosalie. He and his family only drink the blood of animals and call themselves vegetarians.

His life is uneventful for the most part. He is kind and caring much like Carlisle. He feels that he has no soul. He is alone and without a mate. No one has ever appealed to him in that way, until he meets Bella Swan.

Edward’s life now has meaning. Bella is everything to him. He becomes Bella’s protector. He lives for her and for her alone. She is his reason for being. WOW! I would love to be loved that way!

Edward and Bella, after many harrowing experiences, are now living happily ever after in a cottage deep in the woods of Forks with their daughter Renesmee.
