In the United States, Election Day is on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. This results in election day never falling before November 2 or after November 8. Upcoming Election Days are: 11/8/11, 11/6/12, 11/5/13, and 11/4/14.

About Election Day

On November 2, 2010 US citizens of voting age voted in the 2010 Midterm Elections. Midterm elections take place halfway between Presidential elections and the results are often seen as a 'report card' on how the President is doing.

The ballot differed in each state. A total of 37 of 100 Senate seats will be decided, as well as 435 seats in the House of Representatives, In addition, 39 governors' seats were up for grabs, as well as several referendums, including one to legalize marijuana, which failed.
