ESPY Awards

ESPY Awards

The ESPY Awards is an awards ceremony presented by ESPN that recognizes achievements in sports performance and individual and team athletics. The ESPYs were first awarded in 1993. Until 2004, winners were chosen solely by fans, but now sports broadcasters, writers, and ESPN personalities also take part in voting.

About ESPY Awards

Every year since 1993, ESPN has presented the ESPY Awards to those who achieve greatness in individual and team athletics, as well as other sports performance. Prior to 2004, fans alone voted to decide upon ESPY winners. From 2004 to the present, ESPN personalities and sports experts also participate in voting. The most-honored winner is Tiger Woods, who has won 21 ESPY awards.
