If you are fired 'for cause' it's important to understand why you were fired so that you can learn from the experience.

Getting laid off, or losing your job because your position is being eliminated or your employer's business is doing poorly, is also pretty devastating, especially when you weren’t expecting it. But, if you get laid off think of it as a positive change. You will now have the opportunity to try something new. You may even end up with a better job or career.

If you have lost your job, be sure to get right back on your feet and start looking as soon as possible. Update your resume, stay positive and start networking again. Let your friends and acquaintances know you are back on the market.
