Hakem 'The Dream' Dermish (born January 23, 1982) is an Arab American sports reporter and producer for WRC-TV, a NBC-affiliate in Washington, D.C. Dermish was born and raised in Kent, Ohio. He attended Kent Roosevelt High School and played catcher for the baseball team. After high school, Dermish attended Asbury College, a small Christian school in Wilmore, Ky., where he continued his baseball career. During his time at Asbury, Dermish freelanced for ESPN, NBC and CBS. He worked at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, in Salt Lake City, Utah, as part of the production team for the International Sports Broadcasting Company. Dermish graduated in 2004 with a bachelora__s degree in media communications. Dermish landed his first job at WLUC in Marquette, Mich.
