About Halo 3 ODST

Halo 3 ODST, the fifth game in the series, puts you in the shoes of an a new Orbital Drop Shock Trooper called the Rookie. Not much is known about you, except that you have completed your training to be part of this stealth recon team. Because you're not Master Chief, your health is similar to that of the first Halo with a regenerating shield and a health bar. The ODST are given special equipment such as a silenced SMG, a recon visor that highlights enemies and things you can interact with.

The story is set after the events of Halo 2, specifically after the fight in the African city of New Mombasa. While deploying to your mission a Covenant ship warps out and sends you off course. You wake up hours later, alone, clueless to what has happened to your team. Now you must search the destroyed city for clues to what has happened to your crew and reliving their experience. All the while fighting off scavenging parties looking for any survivors.
