About Halo Reach MP Beta
The Halo: Reach beta contains new vehicles, new weapons, armor abilities aka loadouts, no dual wielding, and JETPACKS!!
New Modes -
Juggernaut: Tag you're it. You have a gravity hammer and an overshield. Your goal? Kill as many as you can.
Head Hunter: Kill your enemies, collect their skulls, and run it to your goal to score.
Stockpile: There are flags from all over the map, collect them and bring them to your base. Keep them safe for about a minute to score.
Invasion: The elites are invading a base to retrieve a core. The spartans must stop them.
Elite vs. Spartan: Do you really need an explanation for this one? One side are Elites, the other side are Spartans, and ACTION!!
Generator Defense: Like invasion on a tiny scale. The Elites need to destroy the generators and the Spartans need to protect them.
New Weapons -
DMR: This is the predecessor to the Battle Rifle. Made for mid to long range it doesn't shoot in a burst but one well placed head shot and it's all over.
Needle Rifle: This is Reach's replacement to the plasma rifle. Think of it as a Needler on steroids. The needles don't track but they do more damage and go further.
Plasma Repeater: The Covenant's answer to the Assault Rifle. Now bigger, it doesn't overheat and leave you high and dry; it will slow down and vent to cool down.
Human Pistol: Close to the power of the original pistol from the first Halo, unlike Halo 3, this has a zoom feature.
Focus Rifle: Instead of firing two very damaging bursts, Reach's focus rifle shoots a consistent laser for about 3 seconds before overheating.
Plasma Launcher: Fires 4 plasma grenades at a locked on target.
Grenade Launcher: Fires a powerful grenade who's detonation can be controlled.
