Hurt

An occasional hurt is normal, but pain that goes on for a long time may indicate a problem. Pain is the way that the body warns us that something is wrong. Although no one likes to experience pain, it can be helpful in diagnosing a problem. Without pain, you might seriously hurt yourself without even knowing it, or you might not realize you have a medical problem that needs some form of treatment. Once you take care of the problem, the pain usually goes away.

About Hurt

Pain is a feeling that is triggered in one’s nervous system. The pain may be dull or sharp. The pain may come and go, or it may be constant. Pain may be felt in one area of your body, such as your back, abdomen or chest or you may feel the pain all over, such as when your muscles ache from something like the flu.

Sometimes the pain goes on for weeks, months or even years. This is known as chronic pain. Every so often though, chronic pain is due to an ongoing cause, such as cancer or arthritis. Sometimes the cause is unknown.

Fortunately, there are many ways to treat pain. The treatment varies depending on the cause of the pain. Pain relievers, acupuncture and sometimes surgery are very helpful.
