About iPad

On January 27, 2010 Apple Inc. announced its new tablet computer, the iPad. The iPad, which was compared to the iPod Touch but with a larger screen, runs on an operating system (OS) similar to the iPhone. Users are able to purchase applications from iTunes to run on their iPad along with browsing the internet on the included Safari browser. Interaction with the iPad is done via the on-screen keyboard and multi-touch interface.

The iPad was initially available for purchase in 2 different models with 3 different capacities. Customers could purchase the basic model with just Wi-Fi or upgrade and get a model with Wi-Fi + 3G support. 3G service will be provided by AT&T and will be available in 2 plans, unlimited or 250MB per month. The iPad will be available with a 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB flash drive for storing books, movies, photos, and more.
