About iPhone

Steve Jobs pumped an astonishing $150 million into research and development to create the Apple iPhone. The iPhone was unveiled by Steve Jobs on January 9, 2007. The phone was later released in the U.S. on June 29, 2007. The iPhone was originally exclusively to AT&T, but later models have expanded it to Verizon Wireless and AT&T. The iPhone is an internet-enabled mobile phone that has revolutionized the mobile phone industry, and Apple has since seen incredible financial gains.

Features on the iPhone 3GS include: camera, video recording, MP3/video playback, Internet, email, text messaging (MMS/SMS), web browsing, visual voicemail, wireless connectivity, and 3.5 touch screen with virtual keyboard/buttons.

Features on the iPhone 4 include: Front-facing video chat camera, improved regular back-camera (the lens is quite noticeably larger than the iPhone 3GS), camera flash, Micro-SIM instead of standard SIM (like the iPad,) improved display, etc. Apple's pre-order system for the iPhone 4 crashed the company's website, and also the website of AT&T, which was also offering pre-orders.

The latest iPhone model was revealed on October 4, 2011, which was the iPhone 4S. Many were expecting the iPhone 5, but it appears that Apple's development cycle will only crank out a completely new model every two years. The 4S does have a lot of improvements, mainly that it has a dual-core A5 processor and that it's a world phone.
