'Is Anybody There?' is a heart-warming drama starring two-time Academy Award-winner Michael Caine, 13 year old actor Bill Milner, and directed by John Crowley ('Boy A').
'Is Anybody There?' follows Edward (Milner), a 10 year old who lives in an English nursing home run by his parents. As Edward notices old residents disappear, Edward becomes fascinated with death, and tries to find out what happens when people die, where they go, and if ghosts exist. Edward's unusual obsession and life growing up surrounded by the regular-ness of death is finally interrupted when a new elderly resident arrives. Clarence (Caine), a retired magician and somewhat ornery individual, is bitter about living in a nursing home, that is, until he meets Edward. Together, the unusual duo adventure the English countryside and together learn to appreciate and take advantage of life.
'Is Anybody There?' is rated PG-13 for language including sexual references, and some disturbing images.
