Jackson Rathbone

Jackson Rathbone is an American actor and musician. He's best known for his role as Jasper Hale in the Twilight Saga movies with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Ashley Greene.

Jackson Rathbone, an actor and musician, is most famous for his role as the quiet vampire, Jasper Hale, in the hit 'Twilight' films, which are based on the novels by Stephanie Meyer. In the film, he is married to Alice Cullen, played by Ashley Green. Rathbone knew his Twilight co-star Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen), who he is good friends with, before they began filming the Twilight movies. After meeting on set of the Twilight film, Jackson and Ashley (Green) became fast friends and rumors sparked that the two were romantically involved. Although Green has said that they both have enormous crushes on each other, they are not a couple.

Rathbone is the son of American parents, Randee Lynn and Monroe Jackson Rathbone. His father worked for Mobil Oil and, subsequently, the family moved all around the world. Jackson was born in Singapore, and has lived in places ranging from Indonesia to Texas. While in Texas, Rathbone dabbled in acting and musical theater. For his last two years of high school, Jackson decided to attend the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, and studied acting. Instead of continuing his eduction after high school, Rathbone decided to move to Los Angeles to try his luck in television and film.

He did not have immediate success in L.A., but after some time he was cast in television roles such as 'Disney 411', 'The O.C', 'Beautiful People', and 'Close to Home'. He also had some success in film and was cast in 'Molding Clay', 'Pray for Morning', and 'Travis and Henry'. However, his greatest success came after he was cast to play Jasper Hale in the 'Twilight' movies. In 2009, he did a special appearance as a split personality serial killer named Adam/Amanda in one of 'Criminal Minds' best shows of the season which was directed by 'Seinfeld's' Jason Alexander (aka George Costanza) and written by Rick Dunkle.

Rathbone is not only an actor, but a musician. He is part of a band called '100 Monkeys', which is compiled of himself and two friends whom he met at the Interlochen Arts Academy. Rathbone enjoys singing, writing, and producing his own music. The band has released three albums. Although the band tours the USA, Rathbone calls L.A. home.

Jackson also stars in 'The Last Airbender' from director M. Night Shyamalan, which released on July 2, 2010.
