Jamie Foxx is quite the entertainer. He is a musician-turned-comedian-turned-actor who has produced or starred in stand-up routines, sitcoms, sketch comedy shows, R&B albums, and films. Having studied music from an early age, he has released popular albums and appeared in hip hop music videos over the course of his career. He became a familiar face to the masses when he joined the cast of ‘In Living Color’ in 1991, and his hijinks eventually landed him his own sitcom, ‘The Jamie Foxx Show,’ which ran from 1996 to 2001. He made his film debut in 1992 in the comedy ‘Toys,’ but scored his first dramatic role in 1999 with Oliver Stone's ‘Any Given Sunday.’ That was followed by an Oscar-nominated turn opposite Tom Cruise in ‘Collateral.’ Foxx then channeled his musical roots by starring in a slew of music-themed movies, including the Ray Charles biopic ‘Ray’ and the musical film ‘Dreamgirls.’ Foxx recently starred in Quentin Tarantino’s 2012 western-style revenge flick ‘Django Unchained.’
