Jason Bateman, born Jason Kent Bateman on January 14, 1969 in Rye, New York, is a television and movie actor best known for starring in the 1980's sitcoms 'Silver Spoons,' 'It's Your Move,' 'The Hogan Family,' and as an adult on the Fox comedy 'Arrested Development.'

About Jason Bateman

Jason Bateman began is one of the few child actors who has been able to successfully continue their career well into their adult years. Justin began acting at the age of 12 on the television series 'Little House on the Prairie.' In the mid-80's the name Bateman became synonymous with the term 'teen heartthrob' with the success of his roles in 'Silver Spoons,' 'It's Your Move' and 'The Hogan Family.' Bateman went on to star in many TV movies but did not find his niche within his adult television audience until 2003 when he began his role as Michael Bluth in the FOX sitcom 'Arrested Development.'

Bateman is also no stranger to the big screen. In 2002 he starred with Cameron Diaz and Christina Applegate in the comedy 'The Sweetest Thing.' In 2007 he became a government agent investigating the bombing of an American housing compound in Saudi Arabia in the film 'The Kingdom' with co-stars Jamie Fox and Jennifer Garner. And in 2009, Bateman was paired with George Clooney in the romantic drama 'Up in the Air' as the boss of Career Transition Counseling, a company which fires others from their jobs during corporate downsizing.

Other notable films Bateman has appeared in include 'Juno' (2007) with Ellen Page and 'Arrested Development' co-star Michael Cera, 'The Switch' (2010) with Jennifer Aniston, 'Paul' (2011), 'Horrible Bosses' (2011) with Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx, and 'The Change-Up' (2011) with Ryan Reynolds.
