In 2010 at the 82nd Academy Awards, Jeff Bridges won the Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in 'Crazy Heart' (2009) in which he portrays a washed-up country-western singer. His meeting with a journalist (played by Maggie Gyllenhaal) helps him turn his life around.

Jeff Bridges is a very talented actor, able to play a diverse variety of personalities honestly. Besides acting, Jeff Bridges is also a published photographer, cartoonist, and musician. Bridges sang and played his own music for the movie 'Crazy Heart,' even performing the title track I Don't Know live on 'The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.' Bridges also was one of the 80 musicians to sing We are the World.
