Jenna Ushkowitz is an actress and singer. Born in Seoul, South Korea, Jenna was adopted at 3 months old, and raised in East Meadow, Long Island, NY.
Since the age of 3, Jenna has been acting, on shows such as 'Sesame Street' but also on Broadway. In 1996, at 10 years old, Jenna played in her first Broadway musical, 'The King and I,' followed by 'Spring Awakening.' She also sang the national anthem at Madison Square Gardens for the New York Knicks at just 13.
In 2009, Jenna joined the cast of the FOX high school musical drama 'Glee' as Tina Cohen-Chang. Tina is a Goth who started out the series with a stutter, but who later was found out to use it as a barrier to guard herself. She has sung the songs Tonight from 'West Side Story' and True Colors.
Interestingly, Jenna Ushkowitz and 'Glee' co-star Lea Michele have been friends since they were 8 years old. Jenna and Lea met during production of 'Spring Awakening.'
