John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show is a stand-up comedy television series that currently airs on Comedy Central in the United States. Hosted by British comedian John Oliver, who is best known for his work on The Daily Show, the show features new material by both up-and-coming and established comedians. Each episode opens with stand up by Oliver before a series of sets from several other comedians, each of whom Oliver usually introduces with a witty observation. Several comedians perform in the hour-long show, but the final comedian is the headliner, meaning they perform the most material. Notable recurring guests have included Hannibal Buress (3 episodes), Hari Kondabolu (3 episodes), Paul F. Tompkins (2 episodes), Mary Lynn Rajskub (2 episodes), Nick Kroll (2 episodes), Deon Cole (2 episodes) and Marc Maron (2 episodes), among many others. A third season of shows was taped in March 2012 for airing later that year.
