About Justin Bieber: Never Say Never

'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never' tells the story of teenage pop singing sensation Justin Bieber's rise to fame against the odds. Shot in full digital 3D, it is the first time fans can see him on the big screen.

Growing up in a small town, Justin had big dreams for himself. Singing, dancing, playing drums, and guitar, Justin was passionate about his music. With the odds of becoming a successful artist against him, many would just give up. But Justin stuck with it. 'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never' is Justin's underdog story about how one person beat the odds and became a worldwide phenomenon.

From the director of 'Step Up 3D,' Jon Chu, the movie creatively introduces Justin as a little kid in his family's home videos and then shows him as the pop singing superstar he is now. 'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never' even includes footage from his 2010 My World tour, and his super concert at Madison Square Gardens in New York City in 3D.

Oscar-winning director Davis Guggenheim ('An Inconvenient Truth') was initially announced to direct the Justin Bieber movie. However, only a few days after the announcement, Guggenheim dropped out of the project. But 'Step Up 3D' director Jon Chu took over directing duties. With the title still unannounced, Chu unveiled that the Justin Bieber movie would be shot in 3D and would release to theaters everywhere February 11, 2011, Valentine’s Day weekend. Chu further built the hype around the movie in October 2010 by announcing on his Twitter page that the official movie poster would be revealed through puzzle pieces which he and Justin Bieber would Tweet throughout the day. Fans closely followed every one of their Tweets and the movie title 'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never' was finally revealed.

The movie's title is taken from Justin's hit song ''Never Say Never'' from the soundtrack of 'The Karate Kid' (2010), which stars his friend, Jaden Smith.
