About Kellan Lutz

Known for: His role as the handsome and muscular vampire, Emmett Cullen, in the hit 'Twilight' films

In the Twilight films, which are based on the novels by Stephenie Meyer, he is married to Rosalie Hale, played by Nikki Reed. Lutz knew both his Twilight co-stars Ashley Green (Alice Cullen) and Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale), both of whom he is good friends with, before they began filming the Twilight movies.

He is the middle child of one sister and six brothers and spent most of his childhood living in North Dakota, the Midwest, as well as in Arizona. Kellan began modeling at the age of thirteen, which included a contract with Abercrombie and Fitch, and has held roles in many TV shows, and a handful of films.

After Kellan graduated from high school, he went on to pursue a chemical engineering degree, only to later drop out to pursue acting. He once stated that if he had not chosen acting, he would have tried to become a Navy Seal. He is an avid sportsman and is involved in many disciplines such as extreme skateboarding, weight training, track, baseball, basketball, lacrosse, swimming, tennis, racquetball, badminton, snow skiing, snowboarding, and dance. In addition to his love of sports, he is quite adventurous and prefers to perform all of his own stunts in his films.

Lutz's TV profile is heavier than his film profile. He has been on numerous TV shows such as 'The Bold and the Beautiful', 'CSI: NY', 'Summerland', the CW's '90210', and 'Heroes'. His films (before the Twilight Saga) include 'Stick It', 'Accepted', and 'Prom Night'.
