The mixtape, entitled A Kid Named Cudi,’ came to the attention of musician Kanye West, who signed Kid Cudi to his record label. He also featured Kid Cudi on Kanye’s album 808’s & Heartbreak’.

In 2009 Kid Cudi performed on a number of TV shows and released his first album – Man on the Moon: The End of Day’, which got 3 Grammy Award nominations. He has recently collaborated with artists like The Black Eyed Peas, Travis Barker, Pharell, Asher Roth, Snoop Dogg, and Jay-Z.

Kid Cudi has also begun acting, playing the character, Domingo Brown’ in the HBO series How To Make It In America.’
