Kristin Chenoweth is an American actress best known for playing April Rhodes on 'Glee', Olive Snook on 'Pushing Daisies', and Glenda on the Broadway production of 'Wicked'.

As a child Kristin Chenoworth dreamed of musical theater. She loved singing gospel music in the local churches and often performed in her school's plays. After graduating high school, Kristin attended college at Oklahoma City University where she earned a BFA degree in musical theater. She performed in a Metropolitan Opera National Council audition and was named Most promising up and coming singer and was awarded a scholarship to Philadelphia’s Academy of Vocal Arts. Kristen turned down the scholarship a few months later when she auditioned for the role of Arabella Rittenhouse in a performance of Animal Crackers’ in New York and won the part.

Kristen went on to star in many other theatrical productions, including productions on Broadway. Her most memorable performance was in the Broadway show You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown’ as Sally Brown. The performance earned her many awards, including a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Chenoweth also starred as Glenda on the Broadway production of 'Wicked'.

In addition to her very successful theater career, Kristen Chenoweth has also found success in television and film. She has had guest appearances in the television series Frasier’, Sesame Street’ and Ugly Betty’. In 2004 she played Annabeth the librarian on the hit series The West Wing’. In 2007 she began playing the role of Olive Snook in the ABC series Pushing Daisies’ for which she was nominated for two Emmy awards. In 2009 she guest starred on the popular choral series Glee’ as April Rhodes. Her performance was well received and came back later in the season to reprise her role. She has been nominated for an Emmy in 2010 for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance on 'Glee'. It has also been said that she will be back for season 2 of the Emmy-nominated series.
