Liam Neeson is an Irish actor best known for his roles in 'Schindler's List,' 'Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace' playing Qui Gon Jinn with Ewan McGregor, 'Taken,' 'The A-Team,' and lending his voice to Aslan in the 'Narnia' series. Liam Neeson and actress Natasha Richardson have two children together. Sadly, Richardson passed away in 2009 after a skiing accident.

About Liam Neeson

Known for: Starring roles in films such as 'Schindler's List', 'Star Wars', 'Rob Roy', and 'Love Actually.'

Liam was born in Ballymena, Ireland and attended college at Queen's University Belfast. (Although he is Irish, he is also a naturalized United States Citizen.) After graduation, he moved to Dublin to pursue acting. In the early 1990s, he moved to America and found great success and acclaim for his role as Oskar Schindler in 'Schindler's List'. Because of his performance, many high-profile acting gigs came his way such as Michael Collins in 'Michael Collins', Jean Valjean in 'Les Misérables', Qui-Gon Jinn in 'Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace', Alfred Kinsey in 'Kinsey', Aslan in 'The Chronicles of Narnia' film series and will play John Hannibal Smith in the 2010 'A-Team' movie. He has also starred in several other blockbusters, including 'The Dead Pool', 'Darkman', 'Rob Roy', 'Kingdom of Heaven', 'Batman Begins', 'Taken', and 'Love Actually'.

Liam married actress and English-born Natasha Richardson in 1994. Unfortunately, Liam was left widowed in 2009 after Natasha died from a tragic skiing accident in Canada. He and the late Richardson have two sons, Micheál (born 1995) and Daniel (born 1996), who he resides with in Millbrook, New York.
