Linkin Park is an alternative rap and rock band from Agoura Hills, California. They formed in 1996 and rose to major international fame with their debut album, 'Hybrid Theory.'

About Linkin Park

Link Park released 'Hybrid Theory' on October 24, 2000. The album was a major success and cemented their position in the modern rock world, selling a massive 4.8 million copies. It contains the hit singles ''One Step Closer'' and ''Crawling.'' They won a Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance for the song ''Crawling.''

In 2003, they released the album 'Meteora.' The album topped the Billboard 200 chart and went on to become the most successful album in the history of the Modern Rock Tracks chart. Also in 2003, MTV named Linkin Park the sixth greatest band of the music video era and the third best of the new millennium behind Oasis and Coldplay.

In 2007, Linkin Park released 'Minutes to Midnight' which debuted at No.1 on the Billboard charts and had the third best debut week of any album that year. It was produced by Rick Rubin and contained the singles ''What I’ve Done,'' ''Bleed It Out'' and ''Shadow of the Day.''

Linkin Park's fourth album, 'A Thousand Suns' was released on September 14, 2010.
