About Lucha Libre

Lucha Libre (Spanish for 'free struggle') is a term used for 'free wrestling', a sport involving rapid sequences of holds and moves, as well as high-flying moves. It is also remarkable for its trademark colorful masks. Wrestlers in lucha libre are known as 'luchadores'. The sport has crossed over to the United States and was even the basis for a comedic film starring Jack Black ('Nacho Libre'). Other Spanish-speaking countries also engage in Lucha Libre.
