March Madness Bubble

March Madness Bubble

The NCAA March Madness bubble is the concentration of teams that looks to barely make or miss the NCAA tournament.

About March Madness Bubble

The NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship is a tournament played in March and April featuring sixty-five college basketball teams, both conference champions and at-large selections.

Thirty teams earn automatic bids by winning their respective conference tournaments, while the remaining thirty-five tournament slots are granted to at-large bids, which are determined by the Selection Committee, a special committee appointed by the NCAA. Teams whose tournament status is unclear are called being on the bubble. Much speculation swirls around who is on the bubble until the question is resolved by Selection Sunday.
