Marines

The United States Marine Corps is responsible for amphibious warfare. Marines are flexible in warfare, in that they can be used for any combat operation. Marines answer to the President of the United States in foreign affairs.

About Marines

The United States Marine Corps has land, air and sea capabilities. The Marines work closely with the Navy on deployment and ship security. However, no matter the specialty, the Marines train every service member to be a rifleman first.

Individuals interested in enlisting in the Marines talk to a recruiter. The recruiter evaluates the individual for physical, mental and moral qualifications. The recruiter will administer a test to evaluate the candidate's strengths and weaknesses, in order to better select a specialty. Upon successful completion, the candidate will go to Marine Corps boot camp. The training is rigorous and the holds the most demanding and strict physical fitness standards. Boot camp last 13 weeks. Upon completion, the candidate is a Marine Corp enlist.
