Mia Sara (born June 19, 1967) is an American actress best known for her roles in films such as Legend (1985), Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986), and Timecop (1994). Born Mia Sarapochiello in Brooklyn Heights, New York City, to Jerome Sarapochiello, a photographer and artist, and Diana Sarapochiello, a stylist and also a photographer, she attended St. Ann's School, in Brooklyn, New York City. Sara's breakthrough roles came in the mid-1980's as Princess Lily, playing opposite Tom Cruise in Legend and as Ferris Bueller's girlfriend, Sloane in the 1986 film Ferris Bueller's Day Off. She also appeared in the miniseries Queenie, a roman __ clef on actress Merle Oberon, as well as 1992's A Stranger Among Us, directed by Sidney Lumet.
