Nature's Path is a privately owned and family operated organic food company in North America. Nature's Path is North America's largest organic cereal brand and also sells certified organic breads, cookies, and snack bars in 42 countries around the world. Arran Stephens, the CEO and co-founder with his wife Ratana, of Nature's Path opened Canada's first large organic supermarket in 1971, called Lifestream. The Lifestream brand was eventually sold to Kraft/Philip Morris and in 1985 the Stephens' started a new company: Nature's Path. The first product produced by Nature's Path was called Manna Bread. Based on a passage from The Essene Gospel, the bread was a sprouted bread.
