On January 5, 2010, Google announced and released their smartphone the Nexus One. The Nexus One is built by HTC and runs Google’s Android operating system. Users can buy the Nexus one with a contract on T-Mobile (with Verizon and Vodafone coming later) or unlocked for use on any network.

If purchased through T-Mobile with a 2 year contract the Nexus One cost $179. For the unlocked version it is $529. The Nexus One has a 3.7-inch touch screen (with recent multitouch added) and weights 130 grams. It comes with a 5 megapixel camera, 512MB Flash, 512 MB RAM, and 4GB Micro SD Card (expandable to 32GB).
