Ore-Ida is a brand of potato-based frozen foods currently produced and distributed by the H. J. Heinz Company. Ore-Ida's primary production facility is located in Ontario, Oregon, and the company employs over 1,000 local residents. Ore-Ida is generally considered a leading potato brand in the American market, consistently accounting for a large amount of processed potatoes sold. Ore-Ida Potato Products, Inc. was founded by Idaho entrepreneurs F. Nephi Grigg, his brother Golden Grigg in 1952 with the development of a potato-processing facility located in Oregon, near the border of the state of Idaho. The company's name is a portmanteau of the first few letters of Oregon and Idaho and the original logo consisted of the outlines of Oregon and Idaho with Ore-Ida superimposed in italicized letters. The name was used in the company's long term advertising slogan: When it says Ore-Ida, its All Righta.
