Pregnancy Week

Pregnancy Week

Pregnancy is a nine-month process that is usually measured in weeks. With each week there are changes that happen in the mother's body and the fetus which are watched closely by the mother and the doctor for signs of irregularities and maturation of the baby.

About Pregnancy Week

Pregnancy can be broken down into trimesters (three-month periods) and also week by week. You can follow your pregnancy week by week with charts available online. These charts take you on miraculous journey by letting you know what to expect along the way. They also give many tips and hints about pregnancy week by week.

There are also important milestones that the doctor will be looking for, not only as regards the mother's health, but the development of the fetus. Checkups become more frequent, and eating and other guidance from your doctor will change as your pregnancy extends another week. For example, at some point in your pregnancy your blood volume will actually double, and your doctor will urge you to drink up to 12 glasses of water a day!

Did you know that the first week of pregnancy there is no baby? It sounds confusing but it really isn’t. This is because the doctor calculates the due date by counting 40 weeks from the first day of your last period.
