About Prince

Known for: When Doves Cry Little Red Corvette Bat Dance Diamonds and Pearls

Prince was born to a pianist/songwriter father and jazz singing mother. He was named after his father's band the Prince Roger Trio, because his father wanted him to do all the things he wanted to do.

Prince signed a management contract at the age of 17 with Owen Husney, who is responsible for bringing Prince to the Warner Brothers Records. Prince was given creative control of the first three albums and ownership of publishing rights.

Prince is viewed as one of the greatest musician and guitar players in music history. He is also listed in 'Time' magazine as on of the 100 Most Influential People in the World.
