About Resident Evil Comics

When there is a convoluted and absolutely absurd story as Resident Evil there is bound to be a comic series. The latest series is being created by Wildstorm, written and drawn by Ricardo Sanchez and Kevin Sharpe respectively. Wildstorm has also created comics from other popular videogame. Resident Evil now joins the shelf with Gears of War, Resistance, World of Warcraft, and Mirror's Edge comics.

Set in South America the comics centers around two BSAA agents. As followers have learned that in Resident Evil 5, the BSAA is a S.T.A.R.S. like security agency. BSAA help prevent and rescue anyone not infected by the ever corrupting T-Virus. To put this in the hard to follow timeline, Resident Evil comics take place before the events of Resident Evil 5 game. Unfortunately, it is yet to include Chris Redfield or any other familiar faces. This storyline is only to expand the universe and not the plot of Resident Evil.

Over the years there have been many Resident Evil comics. Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica have had their own special comics to summarize and reveal secrets hidden in the games. If you look to this new RE series of comics looking for answers to RE 5 you'll have a better time getting the RE 5 DLC but if you want to see what it's like to be part of the BSAA then this is a good place to start.
