Reusch is a German manufacturer of sports equipment for football (mainly goalkeeper gloves) and Winter sports. In 1934 Karl Reusch manufactures his first pair of gloves in the attic of his home, the first pairs are being sewed manually by hand. While developing and improving glove engineering for decades in 1972 the needs of professional alpine athletes are finally met. Son Gebhard Reusch joins forces and Reusch enters the industry with a collection of specially designed winter gloves and starts expanding activities in the market. Just one year later in a close co-operation with German goalkeeper legend Sepp Maier, Gebhard Reusch develops the first goalkeeper glove in history. A milestone for the world of soccer and Sepp Maier as well, winning the World Cup just one year later. In 1984 at Reusch's 50th birthday, Reusch is world market leader in the sporting glove segment.
