Robert Patrick Webb (born 29 September 1972) is an English comedian, actor and writer, and one half of the double act Mitchell and Webb, alongside David Mitchell. Webb was born in Boston, Lincolnshire and grew up in the village of Woodhall Spa. Webb's parents divorced when he was four and he lived with his mother. He has said that as a child he was 'hugely spoilt'. He has two older brothers: one became a bus fitter, and the other became a potato wholesaler. Webb was educated at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Horncastle. Having grown up watching The Young Ones and Blackadder, he became interested in drama and poetry while in school and began writing parodies.
