Roxann Dawson (born September 11, 1958) is an American actress, producer and director, best known as B'Elanna Torres on the television series Star Trek: Voyager. A 1980 graduate of the University of California, Berkeley Dawson's first professional acting job was in a Broadway production of A Chorus Line. She continued a stage career through the 1980s and 1990s, while occasionally landing minor film and television roles. In 1994, Dawson began her role as the half Human/half-Klingon engineer B'Elanna Torres on Star Trek: Voyager which lasted for all seven seasons of the show. For her work on that show, she received ALMA Award nominations three years running (1998-2000), and in 2001 was given an ALMA Special Achievement Award.
