About Sam Fisher

Samuel Sam Fisher is the hero and main character of the Splinter Cell series of video games and novels created by Tom Clancy. Fisher is an ex Navy SEAL and worked in the CIA's Special Activities Division and now works for the covert-ops team called Third Echelon. He has participated in operations in many places including Canada, China, Iceland, Israel, Indonesia, Japan, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran, North and South Korea, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Myanmar, Serbia, the former Soviet Republic of Georgia, and France. Sam's direct supervisor and handler is Colonel Irving Lambert, who coordinates intelligence and objective updates with Fisher during his missions.

The games and the books blend together seamlessly in the retelling of Sam's missions and exploits. Characters from the game frequently comment on events from the novels and the writer, Tom Clancy, works closely with game developers, insuring the games stay true to the stories. As with the Tom Clancy novels, the Splinter Cell series of games are some of the most exciting and thrilling titles out there.
