San Francisco is a city in California, home to over 805,000 people, and is known for its chilly summer fog, steep hills, cable cars and famous landmarks. One of its most famous landmarks is the Golden Gate Bridge. The island of Alcatraz is part of San Francisco and it sits on the Pacific Ocean. San Francisco is located on a seven-by-seven mile piece of land between the San Francisco Bay and Pacific coast.
