About Seal

Known for: Soul/R&B singer and songwriter

Three time Grammy award winner Seal has been lighting up the charts with his soulful music for two decades. With hits such as Kiss From a Rose and Crazy the artist has shown he loves making music and plans to be around for a long time to come.

Seal was born to parents of Nigerian/Brazilian decent but was adopted due to his parents being unable to care for him financially. Growing up in London he got his start in the music industry by singing in local bars. He sang with a couple of bands but struck out on his own in 1991 releasing his first album titled Seal’. The first two singles were well received by critics and Crazy was dubbed an international hit. After finding his niche in the music world Seal went on to record many albums, all of which had strong hit singles.

In 2004, Seal proposed to German model Heidi Klum in Mexico. At the time she was pregnant with a child from her former relationship. She gave birth to a daughter who was named Helene Leni Boshoven Klum on 5 May 2004. With her birth father no longer in the picture or planning to be in the future, Seal became her father and later adopted her in 2009.

Seal and Heidi married on May 10, 2005 in Mexico. The two who appear to be very much in love celebrate their union by renewing their vows every year and pledging themselves to one another again. Together they have had three children. Henry Günther Adeola Dashtu Samuel was born on September 12, 2005, Johan Riley Fyodor Taiwo Samuel was born on November, 22 2006 and Lou Sulola Samuel was born on October 9, 2009.

In 2010, the couple will star in a reality series called Love is Divine’ in which Heidi and Seal travel the country together to help other couples who are in need of relationship help.

An archaeologist of the Israeli Antiquity Authority shows an ancient seal dating back to 100 BC with an Aramaic inscription following a press conference in Jerusalem on December 25, 2011. Found two weeks ago during excavations near the Western Wall just outside the Temple Mount compound, the seal has a two-line inscription meaning 'Pure for God' according to Israeli archaeologists and could have been used to mark products or objects that were brought to the Temple.
