Sublime

Sublime

Sublime is a highly influential ska, reggae and punk band from Long Beach, California. They flew under the radar for many years until they blew up with the success of their album 'Sublime.'

About Sublime

The band's original lineup included Bradley Nowell (vocals and guitar), Bud Gaugh (drums and percussion), and Eric Wilson (bass guitar) and Lou Dog, Nowell's dalmatian and the band's mascot.

Nowell died of a heroin overdose in 1996 after several years of battling drug and alcohol addiction, and the band split up immediately afterward. Ironically, the band released its most successful album, 'Sublime,' after Nowell's death and the breakup of the band. The album contained the smash hits Santeria, What I Got and Wrong Way.

In 2009 the band reunited with a new lead singer/guitarist named Rome Ramirez under the name 'Sublime with Rome.'
