Taio Cruz (born April 23, 1982) is a British singer, songwriter and music producer. Originally from London, England, Taio began his career in the music industry at the age of 18 and has been going strong since. His single, "break your heart" topped the charts at #1 both in the U.S and U.K. Not only does he have a successful music career, he also has a popular clothing and accessory line "Rokstarr."

About Taio Cruz

Known for: Being a R&B recording artist, and the hit album 'Break Your Heart'

Since the start of his career at age 18, Taio has partaken in many aspects of the music industry both in the U.K and U.S. He earned a BRIT award for co-writing the British pop artist, Will Young's, single "Your Game." In 2006 Cruz released his first single, "I Just Wanna Know" which received popular reviews and reached #29 on the U.K charts. Cruz would go on to release two additional songs from his debut album 'Departure' which would both garner a wider fan base. The album reached a peak position of #17 on the charts in the U.K.

Although his debut album wasn't initially released in the U.S, his second album's single 'Break Your Heart' reached immense popularity in America, peaking at #1 on the Billboard charts. Ludacris also did a remix version, which further promoted both the song and Taio. The song "Break Your Heart" warns a heart breaker of the damage they're causing to both themselves and the person they're with. His second single, "Dynamite" was released months after the first and reached #2 on the charts. The album "Rokstarr" was released in its entirety on June 1, 2010 in the U.S.
